At the age of seventeen, after the conclusion of a successful exhibition, Marc Rembold was offered a scholarship to study at the "Académie des Beaux-Arts" in Mulhouse, France. However, the young artist decided to follow another path. An autodidact, he went his own way. Beginning in 1980 he began developing the colour concept called "Light in Colour" which, to this day, has yet to be equaled. Rembold focuses on the themes related to the transformation of colour and light. After living many years in Paris, he currently resides and works in Basel, Switzerland.
Marc Rembold wird mit siebzehn Jahren nach einer Ausstellung das Studium an der «Académie des Beaux-Arts» ehrenmässig in Mulhouse angeboten. Doch der junge Künstler entscheidet sich anders. Als Autodidakt geht er seine ganz eigenen Wege. Seit 1980 erfindet er ein eigenes Farbkonzept Namens Light in Colour, welches bis zum heutigen Tag unerreicht bleibt. Er befasst sich mit dem Thema Veränderung der Farbe und Licht. Nach seinen langen Jahren in Paris arbeitet er nun in Basel Schweiz.
